COOLIDGE – A 33-year-old woman, Chanda Eckert, was arrested after a fatal hit-and-run during an altercation with 53-year-old Peggy O’Neil.
Pinal County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a fight and possible hit and run about 8:10 p.m. on Saturday at East Turquoise Trail and North Sierra Drive near Coolidge.
Ms. O’Neil was pronounced dead on scene.
Eckert has been charged with first degree murder.
