Coronavirus Cases Up In Arizona, Officials Confirm 5 Patients

Both cases are from the same household as the current Pinal County case

PHOENIX – The number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus patients in Arizona has grown to 5, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Pinal County Public Health Department.

Governor Doug Ducey offered reassurances to the public. “Arizona is monitoring #COVID19 closely and sharing news regularly to ensure we are doing everything to protect public health and reduce community spread,” tweeted Ducey.

Officials with the agencies confirmed today that two Pinal County residents have been diagnosed with Coronavirus (COVID-19). Both cases are from the same household as the current Pinal County case that was announced on Friday.

State and local public health are currently investigating the cases.
