Sanders Set To Open Five Offices Across Arizona, Counting On Young Vote

A defiant Sen. Bernie Sanders vows to keep running and asked hard hard questions of Joe Biden on Wednesday morning.

PHOENIX – Ignoring the latest primary results and rather than caving to the Democratic Party establishment, Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign announced plans to open its doors to five field offices in Downtown Phoenix, West Phoenix, Tempe, Tucson, and Flagstaff.

Sen. Sanders vowed on Wednesday to continue his presidential campaign due in part to Joe Biden’s inability to attract young voters.

“Last night, obviously was not a good night for our campaign, from a delegate point of view,” Sanders said. “You need to win the voters who represent the future of our country and you must speak to the issues of concern to them. You cannot simply be satisfied by winning the votes of people who are older.”

The office opening comes on the heels of Senator Sanders rallying nearly 7,500 supporters in Phoenix last week.

“From day one, this campaign has invested in organizing and building substantive community relationships,” said Bernie 2020 Arizona State Director Sarah Michelsen. “As we saw in Nevada and then California this election will be about ensuring the multi-racial, multi-generational movement of working class people in Arizona who stand with Bernie have their voices heard in this primary election.”

Bernie 2020 volunteers and staff have already held over 500 events across the state and since the launch of the campaign in 2019, have raised more than $2 million from small dollar donations in Arizona.
