PHOENIX – Three Phoenix Police officers have been injured in a shooting after responding to a domestic violence call on Sunday night. The officers responded shortly after 7 p.m., to residence in the area south of Happy Valley Road and east of 43rd Avenue.
Two female officers were taken to Deer Valley Medical Center and the third was transported to Lincoln Medical Center.
Preliminary reports indicate the officers were “ambushed.”
The 22-year-old suspect was armed when confronted by officers and was shot. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
