PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Health Services has reported 2,726 cases of COVID-19 in the state, and 80 deaths as of Wednesday, April 8. The Department reported that 34,564 tests for COVID-19 have been completed in public and private labs in Arizona and 32,066 of those tests were negative.
According to a Microsoft News poll, which asked Americans last week how they felt about the way their governors have handled the COVID-19 health crisis, Arizonans ranked Governor Doug Ducey dead last. Ducey received an approval rating 20 percentage points lower than the average approval rating for governors.
