Arizona Church Offers The Great Online Easter Egg Hunt For All Kids

Easter

Churches across the country are making preparations for Easter celebrations in light of COVID-19 restrictions, but one Arizona church has planned an innovative way to give area children a virtual version of an Easter Egg Hunt.

Journey Church has joined forces with Southern AZ Virtual Tours to provide a way to preserve a version of the Easter Egg Hunt.

Stacie Parker Mockbee, a youth minister at The Journey, searched for someone with the Matterport equipment used to create virtual tours with the idea of creating “The Great Online Easter Egg Hunt”. She was referred to Brian Beebe, a contractor who creates virtual tours for Southern AZ Virtual Tours. After a short conversation, Brian Beebe volunteered his time and John Backer, the founder and owner of Southern AZ Virtual Tours volunteered the use of their equipment to make the virtual Easter Egg Hunt a reality.

“There isn’t much good news in the world today, but this situation shows how innovative we can be and how we can create great things when we work together,” said Backer. “Our children will have an Easter Egg Hunt this year despite what is currently going on in the world. There is apparently a gold egg to be found.”
