Glendale Police Looking For Child Sex Abuse Suspect

GLENDALE – Glendale Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man involved in crimes against children.

According to police, between August 10, 2019 and February 24, 2020, the man is believed to have victimized at least 3 children inside grocery stores along Bethany Home Rd between 58th and 67th Avenue. In the incidents, the man waited until children between 13 to 15 years old were alone. He approached the victims with a handshake and then pulled the victim’s hands toward his body, placing their hands on his genitals.

Both victims and witnesses have described the man as a Hispanic with light complexion or a Caucasian male with dark complexion. He is believed to be 30-40 years old with short black hair (possibly thinning). He is approximately 5’8” tall and approximately 200 pounds. Witnesses described his nose as distinctively curved down like a “bird’s beak” and a scar across the bridge. He spoke with a thick Spanish accent.

If you have any information about the man, you are asked to call 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
