On Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at approximately 3:23 AM, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of robbery at the Chevron located in the 10700 block of S. Fortuna Road in Yuma.
The suspect, Sharon Cooke, 67 years of age, of Yuma, entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. Cooke was given money from the register and she then exited the store. Deputies arrived while Cooke was outside of her vehicle in the parking lot where she was contacted and arrested.
No weapons were displayed during the robbery and Cooke was unarmed at the time of the arrest.
Cooke was booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for one count of robbery.
