TUSD And Sex-Ed: A Lesson For The Gullible

The vast coronavirus induced shut down of all-things-government-related—gave a window of opportunity to Tucson’s Hard-Left on Tuesday May 12th.  Their minions on the board of the County’s largest school district, Tucson Unified, voted unanimously via video chat, to approve a deeply flawed & hotly contested sex-education curriculum.

Setting aside the indoctrination-specifics for a moment, what does this say about TUSD?

The Hard-Left loves nothing better than the opportunity to shape young minds; they have shown this time and again, in numerous settings, in numerous countries, under numerous guises, in numerous historical epochs. And they so love to do it with “OPM”; i.e. other peoples’ money, your property taxes.

The bigger the organism of government, the better; i.e. TUSD was perfect. It has become a morbidly obese, monstrosity of local government. Just like Pima County.

So I have to ask the gullible: what did you people expect?

That they were going to genuinely listen to your concerns vs. their paid experts? Inasmuch as you are the parents, who showed-up in protest. And are doing the parenting like the many times you’ve actively participated in your child’s legitimate educational development. What a slap in the face.

It’s OK you pay the taxes to feed TUSD’s insatiable appetite for more bloat, more administration, becoming this giant jobs-scheme for the Grijalva Gang’s politically well-connected.

Jeez, people…get a clue.

This is a “two-fer” for Tucson’s Hard-Left; not just validating the TUSD star-chamber’s imperial edict, but something much deeper. It’s an article of faith with the Left that human sexuality is their domain to define and set the rules. Just look upon what they’ve accomplished so far in our society, and in pretty short time.

My advice: Don’t get mad, get even.

Stop protesting, stop calling, letter-writing, and sign-making, all that useless activity. They still get your money, huh? Hit ‘em where it really hurts, in the pocket-book.

If you can reasonably afford to get your kids out of TUSD, do so. Research the states that have laws mandating school districts must divide upon reaching a certain size; those laws are there to prevent giant unaccountable bureaucracies from arising, and to force a focus on actual education.

Support public school vouchers; the parasites of the education bureaucracies absolutely hate that. Ditto charter schools, anything that allows the cleansing sunshine of accountability is an anathema to these property tax vampires.

And lastly, get a clue about how badly the Tucson Hard-Left, their minions in the City & County and especially in the local print media, has made Tucson such a low-income, low-opportunity, high-dependency Metro.

They need you to stay gullible.
