Bagdad Fire Changes Name, Continues To Burn

Crews from Bagdad Fire, the State Land Department, the Bureau of Land Management, and the US Forest Service continue to battle the wildfire, now called the Park Fire, which has threatened the Bagdad Community. Authorities were alerted to the fire on May 21, 2020.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is working with fire officials to find the cause of the blaze.

A Code Red “Go” message has been rescinded.

Slurry bombers, ground teams, water tenders, bulldozers and even heavy-duty mining equipment have been employed.
