TUCSON – A young mother, Monique Leon, was found dying when Tucson Police arrived at an apartment located at 2650 North Oracle Road on May 21, 2020, just after 9:00 a.m. Officers also found three of Ms. Leon’s young children uninjured inside of the residence.
According to Tucson Police, officers and members of the Tucson Fire Department were dispatched For a report of an unresponsive female. Upon arrival, officers entered the apartment and located Ms. Leon with obvious signs of trauma. Shortly after arrival, she was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives learned that Ms. Leon’s live-in boyfriend was the one who called 911 after returning home from work. Detectives have spoken with Ms. Leon’s boyfriend and several of the nearby residents. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence.
No arrests have been made at this time.
