Bighorn Fire Burns On Pusch Ridge

The Bighorn Fire is burning on Pusch Ridge and at 9:00 p.m. it was estimated to have burned 200 acres.

Firefighters are working to protect the surrounding communities and private property.

According to the U.S. Forest Service, resources assigned to the Bighorn Fire include: a Type 3 Incident Commander, 2 Engines Modules, 3 Interagency Hotshot Crews, 1 Type 2 helicopter, 3 Type 1 helicopters, and miscellaneous overhead.

The Service says the spread potential is currently moderate. Firefighters are making progress suppressing the fire with air support using both retardant and water from helicopter drops.

There is a temporary flight restriction over the fire area. This includes drones.
