PHOENIX — Cities and town across Arizona reacted immediately following an announcement by Governor Doug Ducey on Wednesday, that local governments were allowed to set their own face mask mandates or not.
Officials from cities across the state announced on social media their intentions to either mandate masks or merely urge the public to voluntarily cover up:
Chandler

1/3 We will convene a special City Council meeting tomorrow at 2 p.m. to discuss the provisions of a proclamation requiring Mesa residents to wear masks because of the heightened spread of COVID-19.
The City Attorney’s office is currently working on the proclamation.
