Arizona working families can trust that President Trump will lead our nation back into prosperity. He did it once and he will do it again.
Right up until the start of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, President Trump’s historic tax cuts for middle-income Americans, elimination of wasteful regulations, and other pro-growth policies were propelling Arizona’s economy to heretofore unprecedented levels of prosperity, including our lowest unemployment rate since before the Great Recession that benefited families across the Grand Canyon State.
Thanks to this common-sense agenda, our state added more than 244,000 new nonfarm jobs between January 2017 and February of this year, while Arizona’s median household income rose by more than $5,500 during the first two years of Donald Trump’s presidency. On average, Arizona taxpayers are also saving $1,354 on their federal income taxes every year as a direct result of the President’s tax cuts, increasing their take-home pay even further.
Notably, this unprecedented wave of prosperity didn’t just benefit those who were already part of the middle class — nearly 124,000 Arizonans were also lifted out of poverty during the first two years of the Trump Administration.
Just as importantly, the president has consistently stood up to China since his first day in office, condemning the communist regime for stealing American technology, manipulating its currency, and violating international trade agreements. Backing up his tough talk with strategic counter-tariffs, he forced Beijing to the negotiating table and secured the first phase of a massive overhaul in our trade relations with the world’s second-largest economy. This has been a proven strategy to return jobs to the state.
“Our Country has lost, stupidly, Trillions of Dollars with China over many years,” the President said last year. “They have stolen our Intellectual Property at a rate of Hundreds of Billions of Dollars a year, & they want to continue. I won’t let that happen!”
Regrettably, Arizonans simply can’t trust Joe Biden to empower working families — or even to protect us from China’s abusive trade practices.
Biden has been surprisingly candid about his plans to repeal President Trump’s job-creating policies and replace them with a radical economic agenda that caters to the demands of the most socialist ideologues in the Democrat Party while ignoring the needs of ordinary American workers and entrepreneurs.
His draconian environmental plan, for instance, would eliminate fracking and ban fossil fuels — which together would destroy millions of energy and manufacturing jobs across the country. Fossil fuels support about 100,000 jobs in Arizona alone, while contributing close to $10 billion to the state economy every year. But for Biden, this is an acceptable sacrifice.
To make matters worse, the presumptive Democrat nominee has been a reliable enabler of the Chinese regime for decades, protecting Beijing from public criticism and international condemnation while promoting liberalized trade relations. To this day, he naively continues to insist that China doesn’t pose a threat to U.S. economic and geopolitical interests. In fact, he claims they’re not even “competition” for us.
President Trump led us to the greatest economy Arizona has had in history and he’ll do the same again.
