8 Protesters Arrested At Phoenix Police Headquarters

PHOENIX – Eight people were arrested Sunday evening during a protest in downtown Phoenix on Sunday marking the death of Michael Brown Jr. Brown was shot by Ferguson, Missouri police officer on August 9, 2014.

Phoenix Police declared the protest to be an “unlawful assembly” at approximately 7:15 p.m. due to criminal activity.

The protest began outside the Maricopa County Courthouse. Protesters then marched towards the Phoenix Police Department headquarters.

Once at headquarters, the mob pushed down barricades in front of the building. Police used peppered spray to stop the protesters.
