Surprise Police Looking For Failed Carjacking Couple

SURPRISE – Surprise Police are looking for a couple in connection with a failed carjacking attempt.

According to Surprise Police, on August 15, 2020 at about 7:00 a.m., a man and woman approached a person who was parked in a parking lot on the corner of Bell Road and Cotton Lane and engaged that subject in conversation. While speaking, the man tried to forcefully remove the victim from inside the vehicle. During the subsequent struggle, the man struck the victim in the head with an object and continued to try and forcefully remove the victim from the vehicle.

The victim was eventually able to start the vehicle and drive away from the attack. The man and woman both fled the area on foot and their current whereabouts are unknown.

The man suspect is described as a Black, approximately 5’10” tall. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans. The woman is described as a Hispanic or Native American, approximately 5’04” tall. She was last seen wearing a light colored shirt and blue jean shorts.
