PHOENIX — A suspect is in custody in connection with the shooting of a court security officer outside a downtown Phoenix courthouse Tuesday morning.

The shooting occurred on Tuesday outside the Sandra Day O’Connor U.S. Courthouse after 11:30 a.m.

The security officer was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
