Goodyear Police Arrest Carjacker After Short Crime Spree

A Glendale man, Quilon Ivory Dornel Lopez, was booked into jail by Goodyear Police on multiple counts of Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, Theft of Means of Transportation, and Unlawful Flight after short crime spree.

According to Goodyear Police, officer responded to a report that one of Lopez’s victim’s vehicle was in the area of Camelback / Litchfield from an earlier carjacking in Scottsdale and a robbery at Salt River. While they were trying to locate the victim’s vehicle, they were notified that Lopez attempted to carjack another victim while armed with a gun in the Safeway parking lot but was unsuccessful and fled on foot.

Later, Lopez carjacked a vehicle and fled the area.

Lopez was later located back in Goodyear and he was pursued by Goodyear PD where he crashed at 75th Ave and Bell and fled again on foot. He was later taken into custody by Goodyear officers.
