Audit Of Maricopa County Dominion Software And Equipment Not A Waste Of Time

In a joint press release, issued December 4, 2020, Senate and House Republican leaders are calling for a forensic audit on the Dominion software and equipment in order to establish whether they are in fact accurate, secured, and free of outside malicious activity.

There are those who would assert that this is a waste of time and resources, which will not change the ultimate result of the election. They should be reminded of what happened in Florida during the 2000 election, when there was enough evidence to warrant a very careful examination of the voting equipment, although the exercise did not change the ultimate result of the election.

Among those who were paying attention in the year 2000, who could forget the protracted battle of the hanging chads between candidates Bush and Gore? In the end, the final result was not affected, but confidence was restored that the equipment had functioned as expected.

Should Republicans be any less vigilant in 2020 than Democrats were in 2000?

Should voters of all political persuasions be any less concerned about maintaining confidence in the system in 2020 than they were in 2000?

Enough evidence has been uncovered to justify the type of forensic audit that is being requested by Republican leaders.

At an inquiry hosted by several AZ state legislators and conducted on November 30, 2020, one of the participants, Colonel Phil Waldron, presented enough evidence of equipment vulnerability to justify the forensic audit being requested in the aforementioned press release. This inquiry lasted all day, but the colonel’s testimony took place during the first hour. Col. Waldron has impeccable credentials, so the irregularities that he and his team uncovered regarding the Dominion machines and software should be taken seriously. These irregularities included, among others:

  1. Ability to go on the internet, and a strong indication that they communicated, on the morning of the election, with a server in Germany.
  2. USB ports that may allow tampering via thumb drives
  3. User manual language that alludes to ways in which tampering may occur.
  4. Dominion machines are derivatives of the machines created by Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, with the assistance of the Cubans, for the purpose of disrupting, or changing the outcomes of, elections in Latin America and elsewhere.

The full inquiry may be viewed by going to IRREGULARITIES. However, the existence of these four items is enough to create a high level of uncertainty regarding the security of our voting equipment. Full faith in the system may be restore only by conducting the forensic audit that the Republican leadership is requesting. All citizens, regardless of political affiliation, should contact county and state officials, and express support for this audit.
