PHOENIX – On Monday, a group of Republican legislators gathered for a “Protect the Vote” rally at the Capitol. Legislators, joined by a large crowd of President Trump’s supporters, called for the decertification of the election due to claims of vote rigging.
The legislators hope the show of support sends a powerful message to House Speaker Rusty Bowers and Senate President Karen Fann, who have refused to convene a special session. The special session is sought in order to take action to ensure Arizonans were not victims of a fraudulent election.
It is unlikely that Bowers or Fann will budge due to the fact that the are allies of Governor Doug Ducey, who declared Arizona has some of the most secure elections in the country.
“Who would be supportive of this legislative body getting its a$$ back in session?” Arizona State Rep. @TravisGrantham
