Peoria Police are investigating the death of a man found shot Sunday morning.
According to Peoria Police, on January 3, at approximately 9:50 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting in the area of 8000 N 87th Drive. The caller reported they heard an argument and then gunshots.
Officers arrived on scene and found a man laying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound.
Officers were able to identify a house nearby that the suspect(s) entered and were eventually able to detain multiple individuals.
The incident appears to be isolated and those involved appear to know each other, police say.
Detectives say this is an active investigation and urge anyone with information to call the Peoria Police Department.
