Prescott Valley Woman Arrested After Hitting Police Officer With Her Vehicle

A 65-year-old Prescott Valley woman is in custody for aggravated assault of a police officer after she hit him with her vehicle.

According to the Prescott Valley Police Department, on Tuesday, January 12, at 7:10 p.m., an officer was driving on Spouse Drive at N. Miner Road when an oncoming car drove into his lane. The officer swerved to avoid being struck head-on but was hit on the front passenger side of his patrol car and came to rest off-road in a drainage ditch.

The officer was able to drive his patrol car out of the ditch and stop the other car driven by Sandra Lynn Naugle.

Naugle was charged with DUI, two counts of felony Endangerment, Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer, and Reckless Driving. The officer suffered no injuries from the collision.
