The law enforcement community is mourning the loss of ASU Officer Joseph Montgomery, who was killed in a crash Thursday morning.
The accident, which occurred near Loop 101 and University Drive at approximately 8:30 a.m., is under investigation.
It is believed the officer’s motorcycle struck a wall near the off-ramp.
Governor Doug Ducey ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset tomorrow, January 15, 2021, to honor Officer Montgomery.
Officer Montgomery is survived by his wife and four children.
