Pima County Man Killed After Ramming Deputy Patrol Car

A Pima County man, Bradley Alexander Lewis, was killed on Wednesday in a deputy involved shooting.

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, on January 20, 2021, at about 3:30 a.m., deputies responded to a report of an adult male attempting to break into vehicles in the 2100 block of Morning Jewel Place.

Deputies learned that Lewis, age 19, had left the area prior to their arrival; however, they were able to obtain a description of his vehicle.

Deputies located a vehicle matching the description just before 7:00 a.m. and attempted a traffic stop on Paseo De Angel near Positano Way. The vehicle fled to a nearby residence on Paseo De Angel, where Lewis rammed a patrol vehicle.

Deputies attempted to detain Lewis when shots were fired.
