MESA — The Department of Public Safety is asking for the public for help locating a 23-year-old man, Michael Floris, accused of threatening to kill another driver last year.

Floris is now believed to be in Southern California but has connections to both the Phoenix and Las Vegas areas.

According to the Department of Public Safety, on January 28, 2021, a warrant for Floris’ arrest was issued by the Maricopa County Superior Court on charges of assault, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

The charges against Floris stem from an incident which occurred on July 11, 2020 on US 60 near Alma School Road in Mesa, Arizona. A female victim was driving eastbound on US 60 when Floris drove along the victim’s passenger side and began yelling at the victim while pointing a handgun at her.

When the victim exited US 60 at Alma School Road, Floris stopped in front of the victim’s car, exited his vehicle and approached her while yelling, pointing a gun at her and threatening to kill her. The victim filmed the incident and AZDPS was later able to identify Michael Floris as the suspect.

If you have any information regarding Michael Floris’ whereabouts, contact AZDPS at 877-272-8329 or submit an anonymous tip online at www.azdps.gov/tips.
