Yuma Teen Killed In Single Vehicle Collision

A deadly accident involving a Yuma teen, Ronin Jenkins, is under investigation by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at approximately 1:59 p.m., it received a report of a single motor vehicle collision in the area of the 13500 block of S. Avenue 3E.

The initial investigation revealed that a white 2002 Ford Ranger driven by the 18-year-old Ronin was traveling northbound on Avenue 3E approaching County 13 ½ Street. For unknown reasons, the Ranger drove off the east side of the roadway. Ronin attempted to correct the vehicle’s path back onto the roadway, but lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll.

Ronin was ejected from his vehicle and sustained serious injuries. He was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this collision.
