Tucson City Council Picks Uhlich To Fill Ward 3 Council Seat

tucson

On Monday, Tucson’s City Council voted unanimously to bring back former Councilmember Karin Uhlich to replace resigning Councilmember Paul Durham in Ward 3.

Durham’s resignation for personal reasons became effective at 5 o’clock on Monday.

The Tucson Charter requires that the person selected be a qualified elector who has lived in the city limits for the past three years and in Ward 3 for at least one year.

Uhlich will serve out the remainder of Durham’s term.

Uhlich has agreed not to seek the Ward 3 office in the upcoming City elections.

Uhlich opted not to run for re-election in 2016 after it was revealed that she did not live in her district.
