Tucson Police Find Men Shot, Dying After Car Collides With Wall

TUCSON – Tucson Police Department officers found two men shot and dying in a vehicle that had collided with a wall of an apartment complex on 5515 S. Forgeus Avenue on Tuesday.

According to the Tucson Police Department, on March 9, 2021, just after 11:00 p.m., several 911 calls were received reporting a shooting at an apartment complex. Officers responded to the apartment complex and found 23-year-old Christopher Luiz Nunez and 22-year-old Bernadino Santamarina inside the vehicle with obvious signs of gunshot trauma.

Officers began lifesaving measures but both victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene and were pronounced deceased.

Detectives learned that earlier, Mr. Nunez and Mr. Santamarina were in a confrontation with another group in a nearby parking lot. Soon after, reports of gunfire were reported.
