Border Patrol Agents Apprehend Previously Deported Rapist

YUMA – A previously deported felon, Aurelio Sandoval-Valdivia, was apprehended by Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents on Monday. Sandoval-Valdivia was caught after he illegally entered the United States as part of a group of 18.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, agents assigned to the Yuma station encountered and arrested the group near Andrade, California, at approximately 11:30 p.m. After conducting record checks, agents discovered that Sandoval-Valdivia had a felony conviction for rape.

The 54-year-old Mexican national, Sandoval-Valdivia also had misdemeanor convictions for willful cruelty to a child and driving while intoxicated. He was processed according to CBP guidelines.
