COTTONWOOD – A father and son 68-year-old Warren Domenick and his 24-year old son Christian landed in legal hot water this week after a trip to the hospital.

According to the Cottonwood Police Department (CPD), they called detectives from Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (P.A.N.T.) because officers were investigating a possible discovery of methamphetamine from a patient at the Verde Valley Medical Center.

The father and son team admitted to detectives that they had made at least three trips to Phoenix in recent months to purchase meth.

Warren admitted to not only buying meth, but selling it and that the drugs were destined for their home state of Utah. Detectives used a drug detection K-9 on the suspects’ car and the dog alerted to drugs in the vehicle. A search warrant was issued on the vehicle and detectives found a white crystalline rock of meth in the back seat.

A total of a half a pound of meth was seized from the duo.

The duo face multiple charges to include Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs for Sale.
