Arizona Politicians React To Murder Of Capitol Police Officer By Nation Of Islam Follower

Members of Arizona’s congressional delegation swiftly reacted to the news that one U.S. Capitol Police officer was injured, and another officer was killed in an attack at the U.S. Capitol. Noah Green, a 25-year-old from Indiana with ties to the Nation of Islam was the lone assailant.

Officer William “Billy” Evans had been a member of the U.S. Capitol Police for 18 years before he was murdered by Green. He began his USCP service on March 7, 2003, and was a member of the Capitol Division’s First Responder’s Unit, according to Acting U.S. Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman.
