The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify a man involved in a possible attempted kidnapping of an 8-year-old girl who was riding her bike. The incident happened on Tuesday, April 13, around 5:45 p.m., near East Duchess Drive and East Princess Lane in the Castle Canyon Mesa area near Prescott Valley.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office received a call that the man stopped his black truck in the street, opened the door and tried to grab the little girl. There were witnesses in the area who told the girl to run, making his attempt to take her was unsuccessful.

The suspect in this case is described as a white male, in his twenties, with red or orange hair, wavy in the front. He was wearing a white shirt.

The truck is described as a shiny black truck with black interior. Witnesses describe the truck to be lowered with small wheels. It was last seen heading towards North Date Creek Drive.
