Buckeye Police Arrest Tucson Murder Suspect

Buckeye Police arrested Antonio Collins on Thursday in connection with the death of Chad Aaron Hill, of Tucson

According to the Tucson Police Department, on April 22, 2021, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers were dispatched to an apartment complex located at 6775 E. Golf Links Rd. for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, officers located the 35-year-old Chad Aaron Hill with gunshot trauma near a walkway.

Officers immediately began rendering aid until Tucson Fire personnel arrived and continued life-saving efforts. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was declared deceased.

Detectives believe that Hill and Collins were initially involved in a verbal confrontation. During the confrontation, Hill was shot and the 37-year-old Collins fled from the area.

Hours later, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Buckeye Police Department officers located and detained Collins near Miller Rd. and Interstate 10 in Buckeye, AZ. Collins was taken into custody without incident near a truck stop.

Collins was subsequently booked into the Maricopa County Jail on his arrest warrant.
