Tempe Police officers answered the prayers of a 4-year-old boy’s father after he posted on social media his son’s battery-operated gator tractor that had been stolen from their Tempe apartment complex.

Peter Philbrook initially posted about 4-year-old Gerald’s Gator on Facebook:

Stolen from Kyrene and W Grove Parkway in Tempe. Yesterday morning. Please reach out if you see this. I will sell whatever I can to come up with a reward if this is returned. It’s not worth much in dollars but the time spent with my son making this work is priceless. This was a project that me and my son spent months trying to get to work. The gator had broken steering brackets and broken wheels when we found her. We took all the lights and little fm stereo from his old power wheels jeep and sanded, hot glued, screwed them on and wired them to different switches. This might seem silly to some, but this little gator meant the world to him. He even put stickers on it from my best friend who passed away in December and his favorite sticker from his grandma that was a peace sign. He said then everyone who sees him coming will know he comes in peace and not to worry.
