Repeal Of Mesa’s LGBTQ Ordinance Good To Go To Voters For Now

A group of residents have successfully earned the right to challenge Mesa’s new “nondiscrimination ordinance” by filing enough voter signatures to place the matter on the ballot.

The matter will likely be challenged in court as supporters of the ordinance try to invalidate signatures and block the referendum from the ballot.

The Mesa City Council approved the ordinance on March 1 despite strong opposition.
