Tempe Mother Who Killed Her Two Children Identified

crime scene notice

The mother who killed her two children on Saturday has been identified by the Tempe Police Department as  Yui Inoue. She had been charged with two counts of first degree murder.

Her two children were found dead at an apartment complex on Saturday morning by Tempe Police officers.

The children were found at approximately 7:00 a.m., after Tempe Police were flagged down by the woman who drove to the police substation and said voices told her to kill her children.

Officers went to the family’s apartment near U.S. 60 and Mill Avenue where they found the children, ages 9 and 7, deceased with obvious signs of physical trauma.

Officers had responded to the apartment at approximately 12:30 a.m. to a report of a domestic dispute. “At that time everything seemed to be okay. The parties were separated and the children appeared to be okay,” said Sgt. Steve Carbajal with Tempe Police Department.

The father was not at home when police arrived to find the children deceased.
