The body of William Michael Lewis was found by Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue personnel over the weekend near the Colorado River.
On the evening of July 1, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the family of Mr. Lewis, age 62, who had been missing since June 19th. The family had been searching for his vehicle and located it parked at the Scenic Overlook, south of Lake Havasu City on Thursday.
After investigation, search and rescue was activated and responded to the remote desert area and began searching for him Thursday evening. Early Saturday morning, search teams located him deceased near the Colorado River.
