The Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona shared a video this week of the touching farewell to Pascua Yaqui Police Department Officer Similati Vanisi. Officer Vanisi retired after his 25 years of service to the community.
“As someone who came to this country from a small island – deported – came back – became a citizen of this United States and after 25 years of service, providing for my family, I just want to say thank you and have a good day and God bless all of you,” said Officer Vanisi in his last call to the dispatch center.
