Pima County Sheriff’s Detectives Hoping To Identify Armed Robber

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office is hoping to identify an armed robber who struck an eastside Walgreens.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, August 6, 2021 at approximately 8:23 p.m., deputies responded to the Walgreens located at 13542 East Colossal Cave Road for a report of a robbery.

Deputies learned the suspect approached the pharmacy counter while removing a handgun from his waistband. The suspect jumped over the counter and pointed the handgun at the Pharmacist, demanding “lean and Oxy.”

The suspect placed items in a trash bag and fled the store on foot.

The suspect is described as:
· Approximately 5’8-5’10 in height with a thin build
· Face covering, white shirt tied around his face
· Light tan long sleeve shirt and blue jeans
· White shoes
· Black gloves

Detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
