On Saturday August 28, 2021 at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a sex offense which occurred somewhere in the northern part of Cochise County.
The 27-year-old woman advised that a suspect had taken her against her will from the Bisbee area to the northern part of the county and assaulted her before finally coming back to the Bisbee area.
The investigation is being continued by the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and as a result of the initial investigation 32 year old David Bedford of Sierra Vista was arrested and booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of Kidnapping, Sexual Assault, and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon., and he remains in custody of a $250,000 bond.
