ELOY, AZ — Owens Corning, a building and industrial materials company, has announced plans to restart production at its insulation manufacturing facility in Eloy, Arizona. The 42,500 square-foot facility at Eloy Industrial Park is expected to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2022 and will bring more than 50 jobs to the area in a wide range of categories.

Owens Corning manufactures insulation, roofing and fiberglass composite materials.  The Eloy facility will produce fiberglass insulation for building applications.

“I’m thrilled by this announcement, which will provide great jobs for our residents just as the City of Eloy and Pinal County are experiencing a significant increase in new home starts and an influx of new investment,” said Eloy Mayor Micah Powell in a press release. “Owens Corning has been a part of the Eloy industrial landscape for many years and this announcement comes at a time when our economic development efforts are starting to yield results.”

News of the Owens Corning reopening adds to the significant momentum in Pinal County, especially in the manufacturing sector. In 2019, Lucid broke ground on its Advanced Manufacturing Plant (AMP-1) in Casa Grande, which was completed in December 2020. Nikola broke ground in July 2020 on its production facility in Coolidge. In addition, Drive48, a state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing training center in Coolidge, opened in March 2021.
