Mother And Boyfriend Charged With Sex Trafficking Her 13-Year-Old Daughter

Casa Grande, AZ – The Casa Grande Police Department has arrested Brooke Santiago and Derrick Newman in connection with a recent child sex trafficking operation.

According to casa Grande Police, on September 9, 2021, officers responded to Siegel Select Extended Stay in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers contacted Santiago and her 13-year-old daughter. During the investigation, officers discovered significant evidence that Santiago was actively involved in sex trafficking and was also facilitating sex trafficking of her 13-year-old daughter. Officers also discovered evidence that Newman, Santiago’s boyfriend, was involved with the trafficking of the 13-year-old daughter.

Casa Grande Police Detectives collected numerous items of physical and digital evidence, to include full interviews of Newman, Santiago, and Santiago’s daughter. The 13-year-old daughter was turned over to the custody of the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS).

On September 9, 2021, the 39-year-old Santiago was charged with Child Sex Trafficking, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and Prostitution . She was taken into custody at Siegel Select, located at 540 Cacheris Court in Casa Grande.

On September 12, 2021, the 28-year-old Newman was charged with Child Sex Trafficking, Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and Pandering. Newman was taken into custody at MainStay Suites, located at 851 North Henness Road in Casa Grande.

Although arrests have been made and initial charges are being forwarded, CGPD is working diligently with the Pinal County Attorney’s Office to continue this ongoing investigation.
