A Pima County Sheriff’s deputy has died after being shot in the head on Thursday.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office received a call about the shooting at 3:00 p.m. and the off-duty deputy was found shot inside his vehicle.
According to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, the deputy underwent surgery, but died from his injuries on November 20.
“At the request of the deputy’s family, we are not releasing any further details at this time,” Nanos said.
