Congressman Andy Biggs, along with 14 Republican colleagues including Reps. Debbie Lesko and Paul Gosar, sent a letter to President Biden last week in support of the Western States Sheriffs’ Association’s position of no confidence in DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
The Association has also called on President Biden to remove Mayorkas.
The call for Biden to remove Mayorkas comes as large numbers of illegal migrants continue to stream across the southern border.

“I strongly support the Western States Sheriffs’ Association’s call for Secretary Mayorkas to be removed,” said Biggs in a press release. “Secretary Mayorkas must be held accountable for the crisis he has created at our border. Instead of implementing policies to secure our border and protect Americans, he continues to push policies that restrict the enforcement of our laws and incentivize and reward illegal immigration. For the sake of American sovereignty and security, Mayorkas must be removed.”

We support the Western States Sheriffs’ Association’s call for Secretary Mayorkas to be removed from his position as Secretary of Homeland Security.
Congress has ordered the Secretary of Homeland Security to maintain operational control of our border. Secretary Mayorkas has failed to carry out this order.
Secretary Mayorkas has consistently implemented policies that have weakened our border security and incentivized illegal immigration. He has consistently worked to undo successful policies that were put in place by the Trump administration that were working to secure our border.
Under his watch, more than 1.6 million aliens have attempted to illegally cross the southern border. This number does not include the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens that were not encountered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Vast quantities of illegal drugs have entered our country because CBP agents were distracted addressing large groups of illegal aliens surging across the border. These drugs are responsible for countless American deaths.
You must remove Secretary Mayorkas and replace him with an individual committed to securing our
border.
Congressman Biggs also led the charge in calling for Secretary Mayorkas’s impeachment back in August.
