Scottsdale Police, DEA Bust Suspected Sinaloa Cartel Drug Trafficker

Scottsdale PD and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration held a joint press conference to announce a record fentanyl seizure.

At a Thursday afternoon press conference, Scottsdale Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration officials discussed an undercover operation tracking a drug trafficker believed to be connected to the Sinaloa Cartel.

The cartel operates a large drug operation in the Phoenix area, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Seized was a fentanyl haul of over $9 million, a record bust of roughly 1.7 million pills weighing more than 300 pounds.
