Just before 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 26, deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 24000 block of East Tonopah Trail, near J-Six Ranch Road on the southside of Interstate 10 (milepost 297).
The investigation is in the preliminary stages, but initial information released by PCSD indicates an altercation led to two adult males being injured in an exchange of gunfire.
Both were transported from the scene for medical treatment.
Both are expected to recover as of press time.
No suspects are outstanding. A number of public safety agencies responded to the event.
