2nd Man Dies After Being Shot In Car At Phoenix Red Light

On December 29th, 2021, at about 2:30 a.m., Phoenix Police responded to a shooting call in the area of 19th Avenue and Camelback Road. Officers learned three adult males were in a vehicle stopped at a red light when suspect(s) in an unknown vehicle opened fire, striking two of the males. One adult male victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Phoenix Police say a second man shot while inside a car stopped at a red light early Wednesday has died.

On Thursday, police identified the victim who died at the scene as 27-year-old Everado Sandoval and said the other victim who died later of his injuries was 21-year-old Jorge Granados.

According to police, at least one person in a second vehicle fired into the victim’s car.
