On January 6, 2022, the Gilbert Police Department arrested 18-year-old Jordan Zambrano of San Tan Valley for charges related to a sexual exploitation investigation.
Gilbert Police Department investigators allege that Zambrano used the social media app Snapchat to lure juvenile victims into sending him sexually explicit content that he used to then extort the victims for additional sexual contact.
Zambrano was arrested and booked into MCSO jail under the following charges:
•Two counts of Sexual Extortion, pursuant to A.R.S. § 13-1428(A)(1) and three counts of Sexual Extortion, pursuant to A.R.S § 13-1428(A)(2)
•Four counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor pursuant to A.R.S § 13-3553(A)(2)
•Two counts of Sexual Assault pursuant to A.R.S § 13-1406(A)
Police believe that there are additional victims yet to be identified.
