On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at about 4:30 p.m., Phoenix Police responded to an accidental shooting call at an apartment complex in the area of 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
Officers located the 2-year-old male victim with an apparent gunshot wound, who was transported in critical condition by Phoenix Fire personnel to a local hospital.
Detectives responded and are speaking with the mother and father of the victim and investigating the scene.
