On January 24, 2022, Phoenix Police Officer Tyler Moldovan was released from Saint Joseph’s Hospital and is now at a medical facility where he will receive rehabilitation for injuries received in the line of duty.
A career criminal, Essa Williams, shot the 22-year-old Officer Moldovan eight times, including a shot to his head on December 14.
Williams “continued to shoot the officer even after the officer was on the ground and he fought with police officers when they attempted to apprehend him,” according to Maricopa County Prosecutor John Schneider.
